William A. Vega

William A. Vega, Ph.D.

Dr. Vega is a prominent scientist in the field of substance abuse, and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on health services utilization, Latino adolescent drug use, dual diagnoses, and early intervention and treatment. He has worked on a NIDA-funded investigation of diagnostic assessment in mentally ill Latinos, African Americans, and non-Latino whites. His research center at UCLA focuses on quality of care for underserved populations.
